About Me

At the age of 13, while bored at my aunt and uncles property in Pearsall Texas, I asked my uncle about a dusty piece of equipment sitting in the corner of their barn. An hour later the sound of an old welder generator filled the property while I was striking a stick rod across an old plow disc..... I was hooked instantly!!! That day I knew I wanted to be a welder and moving forward I took every available path to learn everything I could about welding. 

Twenty four years later I am a happily married family man with four kids living in Magnolia, Texas and still passionate about welding.

At the age of 16 my first professional welding job was in a custom fabrication shop in Louisville, Tx. We specialized in boat propeller repair, trailer repair, new trailer building, weld repair and custom fabrication. I stayed with this company through high school. After graduating I immediately enrolled in the welding program at TSTC located in Waco Texas. In 2005 I completed my Associates degree in Welding Technologies, and achieved advanced pipe welding certification. I immediately hired on with a Houston based welding and engineering company which I have been employed with for 18 years achieving extensive welding experience in Oil and Gas industry. In 2015 I decided to start Lindsey Welding Services. I started fabricating deer feeders, deer blind frames and offering welding services. During 2020 I had the honor of building a custom BBQ smoker trailer for the JMB Fishing Foundation located in Waco, Texas. They are a non profit foundation specializing in helping kids with cancer and taking them on fishing trips and other adventures. After the completion of this build is when I decided to focus primarily on custom BBQ smokers. With my welding background, and build it right mindset, I set out to make products made to last with high attention to detail. Working with my hands has always been my calling, but fabricating products that can be passed down from generation to generation has now become my passion. With the goal of setting the new standard for quality, this is where Heirloom Pits was born.
